Rum shop percussion,
Pounding dirge!-vociferous squabbling with life drink.
Snare, the tabletop trashing with taps of bottles,
Mocropo Street drum

Taxi Trumpet
Wheels slice silence, fluid motion commences-On an asphalt river.
Faces, curled forms, sidelines whirring and warped-STOP!
-A red light-
The horn fractures security, sound peals across.

Open market bass,
Cat scat, bottom tone embarks,
Fish, shark on ice, pulsating pounding tone-cat's hungry,
"Mew, buy me fish, mew!"
Beggars splayed, their song spilled in larynx rain,
For a mango.
Pen-Wiggler
Lethargic, graphite adhesive to white,
Scratching out curvaceous meter,
Line,
Verse,
Rapturous!

Ink seeps, saturates below,
The story deepens,
                   Further,
                       And further,
Down to the final cut with every passing press.
The Pianist
I lodge my spindling fingers on the keys colored cream,
Cradled in a curling curvature
Suddenly, I compress, the mallet's strike, and wires cry out,
In the likeness of luxurious, lithe, limerick

My fingers, in their contented ways, endeavor 'cross,
The smooth keys, as though tickled,
And the piano laughs in staccato bars, short nips of sound
Melodious harmonies intertwine and waltz,
About the airwaves, and received cordially by my ears.

The crystalline notes of diction revel in resonance.
Tinkering, the piano ivories are resplendent, jovial
My ears ascend.
They're off to a better place now.
Lost in the polished wooden ed
All I Want Is The Curtain
That was it. All I wanted was a petite stretch of floorboards, barricaded by two pieces of black fabric. There…right there… where people could see me do ANYTHING, and they would think I was doing it just for them. Which, in theory, I am, but in reality…the concrete rationale of it all…I'm doing it just for me. Just to have a little fun. I figured that I would dominate those floorboards, make them be my servants. And I would be good at keeping them in line-very good-very very good. So good in fact, that I wouldn't even have to move. Those long, wispy, floorboards, however demure and fragile they may look, will work together to uphold my prowes
Claustrophobic Reverie
A box without hinges, key, or lid…
It has a door on it though

Every ticking momentum of cellular respiration,
Spinning in sporadic slithering snakelike sense,
Of the clown irony
Security in one's abode? Hardly!
Eyes shocked in propulsion of palpitating panic,
Throbbing against the ebony backdrop.
One glance, a sidelong view into nothing injects,
Heightened acumen…did those walls just move?
One's cognitive apparatus, metamorphosed, negated,
Sizzling, bubbling, popping, and crackling its existence,
In the dark skillet that surrounds me.
Still the walls advance.
